Hey, I'm a kid. Am I powerful? Yes! You are powerful. All of us kids are. Sometimes we don't feel like we have alot of power because, let's face it, we're constantly being told what to do by adults. But nothing could be further from the truth. Prove it to yourself. Take a grownup to a crosswalk on any big street and try getting across, like you might do on the way to school. When you're with them, traffic screeches to a halt. Now watch them try to get across the same street and crosswalk without you, by themselves... Ha! They can wait a long time for cars to stop to let them across. Why? Because people care about us kids. Kids matter. OK. Now look at the numbers. One quarter of the world population is kids. Almost 2 billion peeps! That's alot of us kids. That's powerful. So, once we all understand that kids are powerful, you gotta ask yourself the big questions: What am I going to do with that power? What do I really care about? This page has examples of kids who cared about the environment and did something with their power. As you’ll see, these kids took SIMPLE steps to make a BIG difference. They inspired us, maybe they'll inspire you. Click on the slideshow to see their stories.
